Alfred Grinding Room

THE GRINDING ROOM WILL BE CLOSED MAY 6-10. 2024 FOR MAINTENANCE AND INVENTORY. WE HOPE TO REOPEN EARLY. WE WONT BE ABLE TO ACCOMODATE ANY REQUESTS DURING THIS TIME, THANK YOU..

From May 13 to June 21 the Grinding Room will be open M-F 12pm-4pm for ‘walk-in’ service, and open by appointment only 8am-12am. During Ceramic Summer Workshops (June 24-July 19) we will be open M-F 9am-4pm. All University Holidays will be observed. During Summer Ceramics Workshops the Grinding Room will be open to purchase tools and supplies. Mixing facilities are closed for Workshop participants.

The Grinding Room is the raw materials research hub for the Division of Ceramic Art at Alfred University. Our mission is to support the ceramic research community of the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.
